Recent (Croke Park Concussion Symposium October 2016) research and guidelines recommend active ocular and vestibular rehabilitation.
An individualised rehabilitation and treatment program is provided following an assessment. The patient/player is guided and informed on return to training (RTT) and return to play (RTP)protocols. The patient/player is monitored throughout that period of transition and advised according to response to increased training load. The physiotherapist will liaise with all stakeholders (parent/manager /coach/doctor) during that period to facilitate a safe and timely return to play.
