We at Galway West Physiotherapy have worked with athletes and teams for over 20 years. Aofáine Walsh was lead physiotherapist for Galway County Football teams since 1997, and was delighted to be involved with the All-Ireland Senior winning teams of 1998 and 2001, and U21 All-Ireland champions in 2002 and 2005. Caroline Reynolds is lead physiotherapist with the Galway County Minor Football teams since 2007.
Niamh Francis joined the Galway West Physiotherapy team 2014 and provides first aid/pitch side physiotherapy.
We provide pre-match screening/ strapping and treatments, in addition to first aid during the game. Post match injury assessments and onward referral should they be required are undertaken by the physiotherapist covering the game. Concussion screening and management are provided.
