Galway West Physiotherapy is the new name for Montpellier Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic, Sea Road, Galway. The new name reflects our location in the west of Galway city and our weekly clinic based in Carraroe, Co. Galway.
Aofáine Walshe, Caroline Reynolds and Elaine Hall are all members of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapist (M.I.S.C.P.).Aofaine and Caroline specialise in musculo-skeletal and sports medicine. Elaine Hall is a Chartered Physiotherapist specialising in women’s and men’s pelvic health.
Our philosophy is to follow current evidence based treatment guidelines, providing a hands-on approach to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of a wide range of conditions. The physiotherapy session is provided in private treatment rooms. Individualised exercise programmes are prescribed for all patients. There is a strong emphasis on patient education and the concept of Exercises is Medicine is reinforced to all patients. Patients can self refer and referrals are accepted from other health professionals GP’s/ Consultants. We have established close working relations with various national and international consultants. Prompt on ward referral to GP’s/Consultants and X-Rays/MRI is undertaken should it be required.
